“Bringing About a Change” Photomontage

Original Images I utilized pictures of newspaper covers because a newspaper article typically tries to report a problem, create reform, or communicate a change in society. The content of each article, along with the color contrast, and how the articles are incorporated in the structure of the bricks and building, are all executed to reflect … Continue reading “Bringing About a Change” Photomontage

Sequential Art

This depicts the story of a teddy bear that comes to life at night to fight the monster in the closet. There are no borders between each picture but rather a flow created by the background image and shading. Co-Contributors: Jared Entin, Brooks Backinoff

Camera Operation

In this photo album, I explore 20 different camera operation techniques. I enjoyed taking time to enjoy the beautiful fall weather and take pictures with a friend. The example below makes use of strong shadow, and there is an added whimsy of the subject “tebowing” as an ode to the flightiness of fads.

Photo Scavenger Hunt

In this photo album, I partnered with Samantha Selikoff to explore the TCNJ campus. We were given a list of hints and had to take pictures corresponding to each clue given. It was fun seeing people’s reactions to our tourist-like behavior on a college campus. The example below uses the ever-important rule of thirds, and … Continue reading Photo Scavenger Hunt

Family Hex Sign Temporary Tattoo

This hex sign symbolizes my family’s dynamic and values. Each component, from the colors to the circle enclosing the tree, exemplifies an important aspect of my family. I love that this gave me the opportunity to utilize my PhotoShop skills for something personal because it gave me the motivation to put 110% into this piece. … Continue reading Family Hex Sign Temporary Tattoo

One-Shot Lumiere Video

This is a time lapse whose purpose seems ambiguous at first, but reveals itself in the end. Extending from the definition of Lumiere film, this video is not a documentation of the “everyday,” but rather what should be the  “everyday.” Credit: Sierra S.

“Technology” Video

This short video is a comment on technology, and how it can help and hinder relationships. Essentially, technology cannot replace physical human interaction. Co-Contributors: Mindy Romero, Maria Molina, Bri D’Anton

Educational Vodcast

This is an educational video that teaches how to repurpose a toilet paper roll into a gift bow. I like the DIY movement and practicing environmentally-friendly behavior; I also love to edit film. The entire experience, from start to finish, was very enjoyable.

Typography

Using Word, I implemented a series of techniques to explore the power of typography. The project below is just one example, in which I depict the phrase “I Love You” as a hand signing this phrase. The purpose is to use lines and shapes to create the word from the image. Additionally, I implemented color … Continue reading Typography

Psychology of Color

This bulletin board aims to teach the psychology of color by using awareness ribbons. I enjoyed learning about all of the different causes associated with each color. Everyone knows that the pink ribbon represents Breast Cancer Awareness, but what about the other colors?

Music and Lyrics

Using Prezi, I created a music and lyrics presentation to the song “Dream” by Priscilla Ahn. It was made to follow according to 4 second transitions, which can be automated at the bottom right corner of the presentation. It was fun customizing the presentation to the mood that the song gave me.

Holiday Card for Heroes

This is a pop-up card I designed on the computer for the Holiday Cards for Heroes program. The card is folded in a way that mimics a present, with an untraditional bow made of paper to top it off. I enjoyed making something for a good cause.
